Program

A good preschool can make a difference in a child's future school years. Buzzy Bee Preschool Daycare offers individual programs for children to help them learn in an environment that is stress free and fun. Some learning centers our students explore are music, science, math, language arts and pretend / manipulative play.

Based on my experience as a kindergarten and Preschool teacher I have designed my own preschool program to fit every child’s individual learning and make sure they will exceed expectations for entering kindergarten, both academically and socially.

Buzzy Bee Preschool Program consists of a developmentally appropriate Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten curriculum. We have a structure schedule (NO TV) including daily morning sessions where I sit down with my students and we work on learning how to write their names, upper & lower case letters, sounds of letters, writing, numbers, counting, shapes, days of the week, months and year and talk about the weather. We also have sessions doing arts & crafts projects. I already have had students that left my preschool reading. We strive to teach communication, manners, responsibility and respect.

Low teacher to child ratio – your child will receive the kind of close attention he or she deserves.

Schedule

8:00 - 9:00am	Greet early morning students Centers play With choice of blocks, housekeeping corner, office, art, puzzles, books, games, dress-up, etc... Learning: Role playing, identification and ego development, imitation and experimentation, eye-hand coordination, problem-solving, development of social skills.
9:00-9:30am	Morning Snack Learning: Role playing, sharing, taking turns, identification and ego development, imitation and experimentation, eye-hand coordination, problem-solving, development of social skills , etc...
9:30-9:45am	Library Learning: Socialization, reading, vocabulary, sharing with others, etc.
9:45-10:45am	Preschool session starts: 1-on-1with teacher Learning: Following directions, writing, names, letter recognition, rhyming, coloring, cutting, art&crafts, color identification, shapes, science experiences, counting, vocabulary, building, listening. Use of paints, markers, crayon, clay, colors, paste, etc...
10:45-11:00am	Table top / Centers play With choice of playdough, games, blocks, housekeeping corner, puzzles, books, games, dress-up, etc... Learning: Role playing, identification and ego development, imitation and experimentation, eye-hand coordination, problem-solving, development of social skills.
11:00-11:45am	Outdoor Play Learning:: Socialization, large and small muscle coordination, understanding of the elements, science experiences, exploration with digging, sharing with others, nature walks, free choice, etc...
11:45-12:45pm	Lunch for all children Learning: Socialization, following directions, imitation and experimentation, eye-hand coordination, identification and ego development, development of social skills, etc...
12:45-1:00pm	Library Learning: Socialization, reading, vocabulary, sharing with others, etc...
1:00-1:20pm	Story time Learning: Socialization,vocabulary, listening, comprehension, development of social skills, taking turns, etc...
1:20-1:30am	Bathroom / Wash Hands
1:30-3:30PM	Nap and rest time
3:30-4:00PM	Snack Learning: Role playing, sharing, taking turns, identification and ego development, imitation and experimentation, eye-hand coordination, problem-solving, development of social skills, etc...
4:00 – 4:10 pm	Group Time: Calendar Learning: Following directions, singing, vocabulary, writing, months of the year, days of the week, letter and number recognition, science, counting, listening, etc...
4:10 – 4:30 pm	Group Time: Music Learning: Music and movement, singing, rhythm, socialization, vocabulary, listening, development of social skills, large and small muscle coordination, sharing with others, etc...
4:30 – 5:00 pm	Outdoor Play Learning: Socialization, large and small muscle coordination, understanding of the elements, science experiences, exploration with digging, sharing with others, nature walks, free choice and go home, etc...
5:00 pm	School Closed

Schedules are flexible, depending upon weather, interests, etc. However, it is our belief that children respond best to familiar routine; we recognize that every minute of the day is a learning process, no matter what the child is involved in doing. It is our goal to have warm child-teacher relationships with daily activities geared to promoting the total growth of the child.
